I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for over 2 years, and plan to continue doing so.
I started the Friday Firsts sections as a way of keeping track of some of my “firsts” as I dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic. Things seem to be settling down, but I will keep it for now–more as a way to be aware and thankful of what is happening in my life.
Friday Firsts
This week’s firsts:
- I started watching tennis with Mr. PiN in the evenings, and found I enjoyed it. It is possible that the company is what makes the experience more interesting…
- This week I worked a short rotation in the hospital, one week instead of two. It was interesting to see how differently I thought about my time management.
Fitness Log
As a reminder, my current goal is to make sure that I get 90 minutes a week of moderate exercise if I am working in the hospital, which is what I am doing now. During a regular week my goal is higher, 210 minutes.
How did I do?
- Saturday: A walk after work lasted 35 minutes. I remember thinking that if I can keep this up, I could blow way past my hospital week goal. Hahahaha.
- Sunday: Super busy day, no exercise.
- Monday: Another super busy day, up late finishing my notes. No exercise.
- Tuesday: Not quite as busy a day, but I left late, and finished my work later. No time to exercise.
- Wednesday: Catching up on postponed work, got home earlier than the last few days, but still had to sign notes after dinner. No exercise. I do not know if I will manage to hit my weekly target (I suspect not).
- Thursday: Nope, no exercise today.
- Friday: No exercise today either.
Total: 35 minutes of walking for the week. A pretty sad showing. I think next week will be better (it would have to be!)
