I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 4 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Sometimes I highlight firsts (there were more in the early days of the pandemic), or wonderful features of the week. And then, on weeks like this, I give it a rest.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: After a week of almost no exercise, I tried a walk in the afternoon. 19 minutes. I still found it a bit tiring.
- Sunday: An indoors rest day, no exercise.
- Monday: A gentle work out with my trainer, 30 minutes. However, I slipped and pulled my quad–which had an effect on my working out later in the week.
- Tuesday: A walk part-way home to my pick up point, 20 minutes. It felt much better than prior walks.
- Wednesday: In theory, this was a lighter work day. However, it was full of small annoying tasks, which seemed to stretch on forever. I did not get any real exercise today.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point today, 20 minutes.
- Friday: No exercise today.
Total: 89 minutes. I didn’t even hit my goal for a hospital week, which this was not. Sigh. I would like to blame this on my injury, but I was also tired and feeling lazy.
