Fitness Log #253 And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 4 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Fabulousness

This week was a total grind, and I didn’t really have any noteworthy firsts.

However, I did have a trainee working with me this week in clinic. They are already fully trained, but because of licensing and credentialing issues, can’t practice independently yet. So they saw at least half of my patients, and wrote the notes, which saved me a ton of effort when I had little left in the tank. Fabulous.

I find this picture busy and overwhelming, somewhat like this week in the hospital.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do during this hospital week?

  • Saturday:  A walk after a short work day to my pick up point, 20 minutes. In the evening, I took another walk around the neighborhood, for another 20 minutes.
  • Sunday:  It was a long work day today, I only walked the 20 minutes to my pick up point.
  • Monday: It was a hot day and then I just never got around to exercising.
  • Tuesday: Today was a long day, and I got picked up directly at work.
  • Wednesday: I finished early enough to get my walk in (to the pick up point). 20 minutes.
  • Thursday: No walking today.
  • Friday: A walk to and from a doctor’s appointment (for me), 30 minutes.

Total: 110 minutes of walking, which got me over the line to my goal for this busy week.
