I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Fabulousness
My mentees surprised me at a little holiday get together. I can’t adequately describe how touched I was.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do during this hospital week in the wintertime?
- Saturday: I did walk to the usual pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Sunday: No exercise today (bad weather).
- Monday: A busy day. Mr. PiN and I walked around the block once after we got home, 5 minutes.
- Tuesday: No exercise today.
- Wednesday: It was dark and cold tonight, I was picked up at the hospital. But we walked around the block twice once we got home, 10 minutes.
- Thursday: I did some last minute shopping, but really didn’t walk much. Mr. PiN and I might have done some strolling and window shopping, but the music being played publicly was too loud to make this pleasant. I will count this as a no-exercise day.
- Friday: I did walk to a slightly further pick up point, 23 minutes.
Total: 58 minutes of walking. I definitely did not hit my goal this week.
