I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
This week’s firsts:
- Inspired by Michelle at Boomer Eco Crusader, I tried using a shampoo bar. The jury is still out on how much I like it.
Fabulousness
One of my students came by to thank me after Match Day. It was very sweet, and touching. His card will go in the special pile of do-not-discard-ever notes.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do during this hospital week?
- Saturday: No exercise today, except for some walking around shops.
- Sunday: I walked part way home from work, 20 minutes.
- Monday: The day was long and the weather was not pleasant. No exercise today.
- Tuesday-Friday: Nothing, nothing, nothing. It was too depressing to write it out 4 times.
Total: Only 20 minutes of walking. Ugh. Hospital work was very hard this week, and the weather was bad.
CME Goals
- MKSAP: I read through some Neurology.
- CME Videos: None for now.
Good for you for tryng the shampoo bar. They do take a bit of getting used to at first but, once you find one you like, you’ll never go back to bottles!
I keep worrying it will fall into a puddle (or the shower) unnoticed, and melt away into nothing.
Ha ha. That hasn’t happened to me yet.
