Fitness Log #288, And Friday Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

This week I forgot to pay attention to firsts, but there were some good things.

Fabulousness

We had friends over for dinner. We did have to spend a while cleaning up the living room and dining room, but it took much less time to clear away papers and things than it used to. Hooray for decluttering!

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do in this hospital week?

Road race season has started.
  • Saturday:  The weather turned bad just as I was getting ready to walk to my pick up point, and I caught a ride. No exercise today.
  • Sunday:  The roads around the hospital were closed today for a city wide event. I got a ride to my usual pick up point, and walked both to and (later) from the hospital. 40 minutes.
  • Monday: Walked to the usual pick up point, 20 minutes.
  • Tuesday: Walked to the my pick up point, 20 minutes.
  • Wednesday: Another walk after work to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
  • Thursday: No exercise.
  • Friday: None today either.

Total: I walked 100 minutes this week, which is more than my goal. Success!

CME Goals

Now that boards are over, I am trying to work my way through CME Videos. I would like to get through 3 a week, which is tough while working in the hospital. I completed one video this week.
