I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
This week’s firsts:
I met many of Mr. PiN’s new friends at a pickleball group dinner. Lots of fun.
And it was at a restaurant I had never been to before. It was very good (double fun).
Fabulousness
The weather was perfect for my tennis lesson on Wednesday.
I did finish a long series of video CME.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: I was exhausted, and spent much of the early afternoon lying down with a book. I spent part of the evening catching up on work.
- Sunday: A better day, though still more work to catch up on. I took an evening walk, 20 minutes.
- Monday: A walk part-home from work (20 minutes) and a work out with my trainer (30 minutes) made it a busy day.
- Tuesday: I used a lot of public transit today, I would guess I walked 20 minutes to and from bus stops.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson in the morning, 60 minutes. Then a 20 minute walk to my pick up point after work.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Friday: No exercise today, it was a long and stressful day.
Total: 100 minutes of walking, 30 minutes with my trainer, and a 60 minute tennis lesson. 190 minutes of exericse–I met my goal!
CME Goals
My goal was to finish 3 videos a week, in order to meet my requirements to register for boards by the early (cheaper) deadline. However, I took another look at the CME certificates, and realize that I will need to complete about 5 and 1/2 more hours. Ugh.
I will keep my goal of 3 per week, but if I get more done, that will be just fine.
- CME Videos: 4 this week.
