I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by. However, I seem to have let things slide by me this week.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: My walk had to be aborted due to a thunderstorm.
- Sunday: I finally walked home from the local bakery (Mr. PiN gave me a ride there). 33 minutes.
- Monday: It was hot and I was too tired to walk today. I did recover in time to work out with my trainer, though. 30 minutes.
- Tuesday: No exercise today.
- Wednesday: A good tennis lesson today, 60 minutes. I considered taking a walk later in the day, but work got in the way.
- Thursday: A walk part-way home, 20 minutes. It’s not enough to get me to my exercise goal.
- Friday: Conveniently, one of my friends asked me to go for a walk after work. She hasn’t been feeling great, so we didn’t walk far (I didn’t time the walk, but will estimate it was what I would usually walk in 10 minutes).
Total: 63 minutes walking, 30 minutes strength training, and 60 minutes tennis, for a total of 153 minutes. I just sneaked in over the line to meet my weekly goal.
CME Goals
I’m still putting this off, but getting a bit nervous about it.
