I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
This week’s firsts:
- I went to a local museum for the first time.
- I went with my mother and sister-in-law to a new restaurant. They were in town for the funeral.
Fabulousness
Not feeling it this week.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: I got a lift to the commercial center, and then walked home. 25 minutes.
- Sunday: Lots of family time today, no formal exercise.
- Monday: No exercise today.
- Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, using my new shortcut to leave the building, 17 minutes.
- Wednesday: An excellent and active tennis lesson, 60 minutes.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, using the hospital short cut, 17 minutes.
- Friday: The skies looked quite threatening, so I searched for an exercise video to get the 31 minutes I need to get to my goal. In the end, I decided to go for a short walk and do a different video; however, once outside, I just kept going, for a 33 minute walk.
Total: 92 minutes walking and 60 minutes tennis, for a total of 152 minutes, just over my goal. I’m keeping that 30 minute yoga video teed up for next week.
