Fitness Log #309, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Friday Firsts

Mr. PiN and I attended a driveway party given by a work friend, to cheer on runners in the local road race. That was fun.

Fabulousness

  1. I visited my about-to-retire friend over the weekend and chatted with her on the porch for a while.
  2. I just love clapping for the racers, I’m listing this twice this week.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

Our local race is a little more modern.
  • Saturday:  No exercise today.
  • Sunday:  A walk to and from a friend’s house for a little party, 30 minutes.
  • Monday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes. Then a tennis lesson on a different day: 60 minutes.
  • Tuesday: No exercise today.
  • Wednesday: A work out with my trainer, 30 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk in the late afternoon, 20 minutes.
  • Friday: An afternoon walk, 25 minutes.

Total: 92 minutes walking, 60 minutes tennis, and a 30 minute training session, for a total of 182 minutes. I definitely met my exercise goal this week, and feel much the better for it.
