I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
However, this week I really didn’t pay any attention at all to firsts or fabulousness.
Had the USA elected its first female president, that would indeed have been a first. It’s one I hope to see within my lifetime.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: I was tired, but took a (slow) walk, 19 minutes. Afterwards, I hung out with my about-to-retire friend on her porch.
- Sunday: An afternoon walk, 20 minutes.
- Monday: A walk part way home, 16 minutes. My trainer had to call off, so no work out tonight.
- Tuesday: I walked 25 minutes to my polling place. After voting, I walked the rest of the way home (not measured).
- Wednesday: Finally, a tennis lesson. There was some gabbing and gentle hits, since I hadn’t felt so well for my last lesson, but I was moving. 60 minutes.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 16 minutes.
- Friday: Work ran late (it was fully dark) so I didn’t take a long walk. But my husband persuaded me to walk around the block with him before dinner. 5 minutes.
Total: 101 minutes walking, 60 minutes tennis, for a total of 161 minutes. I met my exercise goal!
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
