I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Once again I have been delinquent in appreciating the fabulousness of the week or noticing the firsts.

Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: I was tired and had the car, so I visited my almost-retired friend. We walked to the local bakery, I didn’t even time it.
- Sunday: Bad weather today meant I stayed indoors and didn’t even try exercising.
- Monday: I walked to my pick up point taking the newer path, 16 minutes. My trainer texted that she was in the middle of moving, and could we postpone until next week? I got a lift to the shopping area, bought a few things, and walked home, another 25 minutes.
- Tuesday: It was a long and painful afternoon in the office. There was no exercise today.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes.
- Thursday: No exercise today.
- Friday: Nor today.
Total: 41 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of tennis. Altogether not a fabulous week, though at least I got some exercise in this week.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
