I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Fabulousness
My friend finally retired! The Sunday group got together at my house to celebrate, and had a great time.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: No exercise today, just finishing notes and then getting ready for guests tomorrow.
- Sunday: I threw a small party for my friend who just retired. I might have overeaten, and gone for a 20 minute walk to feel better afterwards.
- Monday: I walked to a further pick up point today, 25 minutes. My trainer needs another week off, so no workout.
- Tuesday: It was dark and rainy by the time I was done with work. Mr. PiN and I took a walk around the block at home, which was maybe 5 minutes.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson today, 60 minutes.
- Thursday: It was dark and cold after work, I did not walk to a pick up point. No exercise today.
- Friday: Work ran very late, and I did not have the heart (or time, or energy) to exercise afterwards.
Total: 50 minutes walking and 60 minutes tennis. I did not meet my exercise goals, but the socializing goal was met, in spades.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
