I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I tried watching educational videos at higher speed. A 47 minute video at 1.25x speed gets done appreciably faster. (1.5x speed was a little too fast for me.)
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: Nothing, stayed home.
- Sunday: Planned to try a video workout, but did nothing.
- Monday: Finally, a workout with my trainer. 30 minutes.
- Tuesday: A long day, with nasty weather for the walk home. So I didn’t walk. No exercise.
- Wednesday: My last tennis lesson for a while, 60 minutes.
- Thursday: Mr. PiN tricked me into walking to our pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Friday: It was a long day at work. No exercise.
Total: 20 minutes walking, 60 minutes tennis, 30 minutes strength training, for a total of 110 minutes. Not at my goal, but better than last week.
CME Goals
- MKSAP: none this week.
- CME Videos: tried watching at 1.25 x speed, and got through 4 hours of lectures.
