Fitness Log #310, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Planning Is A Saving Super Tool

This past month has been a parade of high costs, what with a funeral, a professional exam (with a hotel stay the night before), and now a last minute vacation

The amount of money flowing out of the house has been…. amazing to me. Luckily, each time we pulled out the check book or plunked down the credit card, Mr. PiN and I were able to say: we have the money, this is what it’s for.

However, by seeing how expensive it is to do things at the last minute, it becomes clear that our habit of (usually) planning ahead has saved us a good chunk of money over the years.

In Real Life

I pretty much stopped writing new blog posts in August, when I went home to visit my mom for a quick weekend.

It wasn’t until I stopped using my computer, that I realized how much time I have been spending staring at it.

For one day (just one!), I was hanging out with my mother: we took a road trip to drop off some books, went out to dinner, and then visited my aunt. Growing up, this would have been a normal weekend day, possibly bracketed by a few hours reading a book.

Physician In Numbers Turns 6!

I haven’t been writing much beyond my fitness logs since August, but I couldn’t let my blogiversary pass without acknowledgement.

Six years ago, I hit publish on my first post on personal finance. I was so excited to blog and share my thoughts on the internet.

Over the past 6 years, I have really enjoyed blogging. It’s been a real boon to my writing in various ways. My exercise logs have, occasionally, prompted me to get off my duff and meet my weekly goals.

I hope my posts have been entertaining and/or educational for others. Many thanks to my readers for visiting my blog and occasionally commenting.

Here’s to another year!
