I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 6 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
Not fabulous, but we skipped going to my family for a holiday because we were sick (and didn’t want to bring anything unexpected with us). We’ve missed before during the pandemic, and when our car broke down, but never like this.
Fabulousness
Maybe not fabulous, but it was very nice to skip a long trip and instead stay home and get rest.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

- Saturday: I felt quite unwell overnight, and was exhausted all day. Definitely no exercise.
- Sunday: A lovely walk in the afternoon. I stopped several times to take photos of the flowers, so I will shave some time from my timer, and call it 33 minutes.
- Monday: I took a stroll after dinner (dropped off at the library and walked home), and enjoyed plenty of spring flowers. 27 minutes.
- Tuesday: It was a cold and rainy afternoon, so when Mr. PiN called me while out doing errands, I asked him to pick me up directly from the hospital. No exercise today.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes.
- Thursday: I walked to my pick up point after work, 17 minutes.
- Friday: An evening walk for 2o minutes.
Total: 97 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 157 minutes. I made my goal!
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
