I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 6 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I got caught up in the Air Canada strike. Before the strike officially happened, “somehow” we were unable to make our connection going out. We had an unexpected stop over in a new city.
For the way back, I actually booked a second flight back (on a different airline) at Mr. PiN’s urging, a few days into our vacation.
I’m not sure how smart I’ve been to loosen the purse strings, but I will say that the decision to start this made me much more relaxed about spending a lot of money at short notice.
Fabulousness
Mr. PiN and I had a fabulous time with our overnight stay on the way out to British Columbia, and a more fabulous time on the rest of our vacation.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

To be fair, I totally did not track my exercise while on vacation this week. My Fitbit hasn’t worked for years, so no data there. However, I feel pretty confident that I walked more than 22 minutes a day, every day, so I will count my goal 150 minutes a week of exercise as completed.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
