Wednesday W #7

I’ve started Wednesday W’s as a way to give short updates of how I use my (new) extra day off per week. I am curious about what I will do with that extra day, and think blogging about it might prompt me to make sure I take advantage of it.

When did I wake up: A little before 7, but then I dozed until the alarm went off an hour later.

Who am I spending time with: Mr. PiN, my trainer, and a banker in the suburbs as I empty out my friend’s safety deposit box.

What did I do for work: Addressed some messages in the morning, and then again late in the afternoon/evening. Maybe 1 and 1/2 hours today.

What project am I working on, now I have time: Today was all about the safety deposit box.

What did I do to “fill my bucket:” After taking care of business at the bank, I stopped in the Starbucks near my friends house, where we would frequently meet. A treat and a re-read of a favorite novella put me in a much better mood. However, the place has been redone since we were last there before the pandemic, and it doesn’t really feel like the same place.

What else was good about today: Mostly, I felt less pressure to get work done today.

What’s made me laugh:

Painting of a man holding a bagpipe, with.a violin hanging behind him on the wall, and a plate of food next to him. Text: Would you believe it, my neighbor was knocking on my door at 2.30 this morning. Luckily I was still up, playing my bagpipes.
