I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for nearly 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
There were some firsts this week, but none that I feel like sharing with the Internet.
Fabulousness
I was notified that I have won an award at work. Very exciting.
More fabulous was going out to a fancy dinner with Mr. PiN to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

- Saturday: A morning online session with my trainer, 30 minutes.
- Sunday: I got a ride to the neighborhood bakery, and walked back, 31 minutes.
- Monday: Mr.PiN and I went to the tennis courts for a morning hit, but not until noon. Although the weather had cooled down, it was significantly less comfortable than a 9 am practice. The sky was beautiful, though. 25 minutes.
- Tuesday: I definitely did something (bad) while playing tennis yesterday, I am very stiff. I was still able to walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
- Wednesday: No tennis today, but I took a walk back home after getting dropped off to run errands. I am definitely walking slower with this back, 28 minutes. After my appointment, I walked to a further pick up point, for another 20 minute of walking.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point in cool drizzle, blech. 17 minutes.
- Friday: No exercise today.
Total: 113 minutes of walking, 30 minutes of strength training, and 25 minutes minutes of tennis, for a total of 168 minutes. Not bad for someone with an injury!
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
