Wednesday W #10

I’ve started Wednesday W’s as a way to give short updates of how I use my (new) extra day off per week. I am curious about what I will do with that extra day, and think blogging about it might prompt me to make sure I take advantage of it.

When did I wake up: Still jet lagged, woke around 4 AM. However, I managed to fall back asleep until the more decent hour of 6:40.

Who am I spending time with: My electronics. Completed some work, read a book for fun, listened to podcasts while I walking outside and tidying up inside.

What did I do for work: Caught up on notes and results, which is business as usual. I had more fun writing up a case to present at next week’s early morning meeting, and reviewing a poster abstract my students want to present.

What project am I working on, now I have time: Mr. PiN is going out of town for nearly a week, and I am making a list of things to do while he is gone. It includes posting–and hopefully giving away–items to my Buy Nothing Group. If I am up for it, may rearrange some of the living room furniture to make it easier to clear my “piano corner.”

What did I do to “fill my bucket:” I made sure to take a walk this morning. I enjoyed getting out, getting some fresh air, and listening to some of my saved podcasts.

What else was good about today: I felt good getting things done around the house.

What’s made me laugh:

Photo of Sylvester Stallone and Claude Van Damme. Stallone: I'm making a movie about composers. I'm playing Beethoven. Van Damme: I'll be Mozart. Schwarzenegger: Stop it guys, I'm not saying it. Classic picture of J.S. Bach with Schwarzenegger's face pasted in.
