Fitness Log #364, And Friday Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

Japanese print of a cat on a windowsill, looking out at a landscape with a mountain in the background.
This was not me, looking out the window, waiting for Mr. PiN to return home.
  • Saturday:  A morning session with my trainer. Theoretically 30 minutes, but we started late. Probably closer to 26 minutes.
  • Sunday:  A walk in the neighborhood, 31 minutes.
  • Monday: A walk home after running errands, 30 minutes.
  • Tuesday: I walked to the bus stop near my usual pick up point, but took the bus home since Mr. PiN has left town. 19 minutes altogether to get home.
  • Wednesday: I woke up super early and was tired all day. I played tennis (solo lesson), but rather worse than usual. 60 minutes.
  • Thursday: I planned to walk to my usual pick up point, and catch the bus there. However, the bus was so delayed, I decided I could start walking home. The first bus to pass me did so about 1/2 block before my stop near home. Grr. I did get about 40 minutes of walking in.
  • Friday: It was a long day and I did not go out for a walk today.

Total: 120 minutes of walking, 26 minutes of strength training, and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 206 minutes. I met my goal and then some!

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
