I’ve started Wednesday W’s as a way to give short updates of how I use my (new) extra day off per week. I am curious about what I will do with that extra day, and think blogging about it might prompt me to make sure I take advantage of it.
When did I wake up: 6:39. I was nervous about getting to the airport today.
Who am I spending time with: My mom, her cat, airport staff, Mr. PiN.
What did I do for work: I checked in twice before going to the airport, and once at home. I will have lots of leftover stuff to address.
What project am I working on, now I have time: Nothing.
What did I do to “fill my bucket:” I enjoyed visiting my mom, and coming back to see Mr. PiN. We stopped at a Costco on our way back from the airport, I was somewhat overwhelmed at all the holiday specials.
What else was good about today: My flight home wasn’t super early, so I could spend time at home, and pack, before leaving.
What’s made me laugh:
While I was home, Sirius FM played Rossini’s Cat Duet (possibly not this version). Watching the cat’s reaction to the music was priceless. The video is pretty good too.

I’m with you on the Costco feeling. We went last week and I said I was happy to not go back until after the holidays.
Actually, it was kind of fun, since we were there mostly to look around. However, if I had seen all that stuff 15 years ago, our cart would have been filled with more than groceries for a few days!
