I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
None that I recorded this week.
Fabulousness
My mentees had their holiday party this week. I provided lunch this year, and a good time was had by all.

Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do during this hospital week?
- Saturday: It was cold, but I missed walking last week. Since I was free to leave work before dark, I walked to my pick up point. 17 minutes.
- Sunday: Today I had to stay all day. It was dark and cold and too unpleasant for a walk, so Mr. PiN picked me up at the hospital. I was also too worn out mentally to manage an exercise video before dinner. After dinner I was too full. Also, there was more work.
- Monday: I was able to leave early enough to take a brisk (very brisk) walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
- Tuesday: The weather was not conducive to a walk, but I was motivated to repeat a stretching video from last week. 15 minutes.
- Wednesday: I meant to work out before dinner, but somehow that didn’t happen..
- Thursday: I made an effort to do a (new to me) stretching video before supper, 15 minutes.
- Friday: It was a long and tiring day. My vague goal of trying another stretching video was discarded.
Total: 34 minutes of walking, and 30 minutes of stretching. I again did not make my exercise goals. Happily, my hospital time is over for a while, so I can try to get more activity in next week.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
