I’ve started Wednesday W’s as a way to give short updates of how I use my (new) extra day off per week. I am curious about what I will do with that extra day, and think blogging about it might prompt me to make sure I take advantage of it.
When did I wake up: More pertinently, when did I go to bed last night? Answer: way, way, way too late for a school night.
Who am I spending time with: My computer and my empty house.
What did I do for work: I checked in for new messages (lots of calls about ‘flu), and knocked off some student evaluations.
What project am I working on, now I have time: Today was mostly spent in a stupor playing on the computer and dealing with lots of small house projects I had successfully avoided for weeks. Ugh.
What did I do to “fill my bucket:” Nothing today. I am hoping that clearing some of the boring tasks from the list will help me enjoy my time off over New Year’s with less guilt.
What else was good about today: It reinforced (again) the lesson that I can only stay at home tidying up for a few days in a row before it gets way too old.
Which meme describes me today:
