I’ve started Wednesday W’s as a way to give short updates of how I use my (new) extra day off per week. I am curious about what I will do with that extra day, and think blogging about it might prompt me to make sure I take advantage of it.
When did I wake up: With the alarm, at 6:40.
Who am I spending time with: SNOW. I read about the snow storm on social media, I heard Mr. PiN clearing our walk, and admired the snow from inside the house.
What did I do for work: I had three video meetings and 1 video visit with a patient, in addition to reviewing labs and responding to messages. It was not a full work day, but probably took about 4 hours. I was grateful to be able to do this from home.
What project am I working on, now I have time: I was able to shred the majority of my pile of papers, which had been taking over the entrance to my home office.
What did I do to “fill my bucket:” I was excited to work out in my basement with a good video (plenty of classical music with this one).
What else was good about today: As I wrote above, I was so thankful to be able to stay indoors today, and not to have to deal with the snow.
What’s made me laugh:

How are you doing?

Ah yes. Snow is definitely the theme of winter 2026. I can tolerate the snow but the extreme cold is too much, and there’s no sign of a warming trend anytime soon. My outdoor walks are suffering. Thank goodness for YouTube fitness videos!
After a few days, the snow is getting cleared, but the conditions are still terrible for walking. I played tennis today (indoors, of course!), but I’m looking forward to my workout videos for the rest of the week.
