I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I didn’t note any this week. I obviously wasn’t paying attention.
Fabulousness
I feel like Spring has finally Sprung! (That may change, of course.)
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: A short walk near home (my usual), 20 minutes.
- Sunday: The same short walk, 20 minutes.
- Monday: A walk to my pick up point (20 minutes) and a work out with my trainer (30 minutes).
- Tuesday: Walked again to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Wednesday: An excellent tennis lesson (lots of running). 60 minutes.
- Thursday: Beautiful weather inspired me to walk to the pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Friday: No walk after work today, I had to rush to the airport, for a flight that was delayed many, many hours.
Total: 100 minutes walking, 30 minutes strength training and 60 minutes tennis, for a total of 190 minutes of exercise. I guess the Spring weather does inspire me to get out a bit more.
CME Goals.
- CME Videos: None this week, but I’m thinking about them.
Woohoo on the fitness goals. I agree that spring weather and more daylight definitely helps!
Yes. My winning strategy seems to be some combination of good weather for walking, not working crazy hours, attending a lesson/training session, and staying injury-free (or at least fit enough to walk). I hit the jackpot this week.
