I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
This week’s firsts:
- We ordered out because we were legit out of food and Mr. PiN was too tired from clearing out his parents’ house to do anything. It was great to give him a break, but I was astounded anew by how expensive it was (it wasn’t anything fancy).
- My browser shut down and rebooted without warning, and did not allow me to reopen all my old tabs once it was done. All the posts I had been saving as favorites disappeared. Ugh.
Fabulousness
Mr. PiN came to the realization that he doesn’t want to keep his parents’ books, not even the interesting ones, if they are musty and mildewy. This makes me very happy.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do during this hospital week?
- Saturday: The weather was terrible, and I had tons of work to complete. No exercise.
- Sunday: Same story as Saturday. No exercise.
- Monday: A very busy day, the weather was still bad. I did walk in the hospital complex, but nothing I want to count.
- Tuesday: The weather was much better, and I walked to a pick up point part way home. 20 minutes.
- Wednesday: No exercise.
- Thursday: None.
- Friday: Nada.
Total: I walked outside for 20 minutes this week. Plus a lot of walking to and fro for Starbucks more days than I should. I will say that this week was a total miss, even for my lowered goal while working in the hospital. Ugh.
CME Goals
- MKSAP: Completed Nephrology.
- CME Videos: None until April.
