Fitness Log #165 And Friday Firsts

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for over 3 years, and plan to continue doing so.

I started the Friday Firsts sections as a way of keeping track of some of my “firsts” as I dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic. Things seem to be settling down, but I will keep it for now–more as a way to be aware and thankful of what is happening in my life.

Friday Firsts

This week’s firsts:

  1. There was a lot of discussion about wills, executors and executrixes, bequests. This was something I had only ever read about, not actually listened to with interest.

Fitness Log

As a reminder, my current goal is to make sure that I get 210 minutes a week of moderate exercise, of which 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

  • Saturday:  Went out for a walk, finally: got a ride to the post office and walked home, stopping to do a little shopping. 28 minutes (after leaving the last store).
  • Sunday:  Super busy during the day, and then suddenly it was dark. I did not go out in the dark for a walk.
  • Monday: Again, quite busy. My trainer had to postpone to Wednesday. I went out with Mr. PiN for a walk around the block 3 times. I didn’t time it, but based on prior experience, I will call this a 15 minute walk.
  • Tuesday: Definitely no time to exercise. It was our last night hosting my sister in law, for a while.
  • Wednesday: After work, I worked out with my trainer remotely. 30 minutes.
  • Thursday: A long emotionally-exhausting day. I wasn’t done until after dark, so no walk.
  • Friday: A walk after work before it was pitch black. A very nice 32 minutes.

Total: 75 minutes walking and 30 minutes of strength training, for a total of 105 minutes. Not exactly meeting my goals; though certainly better than nothing.
