Fitness Log #236 And Friday Firsts

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 4 years, and plan to continue doing so.

I started the Friday Firsts sections as a way of keeping track of some of my “firsts” as I dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic. Things seem to be settling down, but I will keep it for now–more as a way to be aware and thankful of what is happening in my life.

Friday Firsts

This week’s firsts:

  1. Mr. PiN surprised me by ordering something on Amazon (not a present for me). I was totally not expecting the e-mail letting me know my order had been placed . I guess those security protocols work.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

  • Saturday:  I was quite tired today, but did finally get out in the early evening for a walk around the neighborhood. 20 minutes.
  • Sunday:  Another walk around the neighborhood, this time in the morning, for 20 minutes.
  • Monday: A walk part-way home from work, 20 minutes. No training session today, my trainer had to cancel.
  • Tuesday: Another walk part-way home, 20 minutes.
  • Wednesday: Finally, a tennis lesson (I was very rusty), 60 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk part way home, 20 minutes.
  • Friday: It was a long day of work, and no exercise happened.

Total: 100 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 160 minutes. I made my goal!
