I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I attended a book launch.
Fabulousness
I enjoyed a 3 day weekend at the beginning of the week. Friday was absolutely fabulous, as I was able to finish all my work before dinner. We had food delivered, so Mr. PiN was able to get a break from cooking (though he did microwave some sweet potatoes to stretch the meal a bit, it did not make much mess to be cleaned up).
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

- Saturday: A training session, 30 minutes.
- Sunday: A rest day (to be fair, I thought about going for a walk, but we had a huge storm around the time I planned to step out).
- Monday: Another rest day.
- Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson, my first in several weeks. I huffed and puffed my way through it. 60 minutes.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Friday: A walk after work, 20 minutes.
Total: 60 minutes of walking, 30 of strength training, and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 150 minutes. I just hit my target. Success!
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
