I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I attended a tennis clinic (group lesson) and worked with a different tennis teacher/coach for the first time.
Fabulousness
I took some time off to travel for the holiday, but didn’t travel. I enjoyed time at home with little pressing work (I did have to check in several times on the computer).

Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: A workout with my trainer, 30 minutes.
- Sunday: A walk in the neighborhood, 20 minutes.
- Monday: Another walk in the neighborhood, 20 minutes.
- Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 20 minutes.
- Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes. It was great, and I have met my goal for the week! Every thing after this is gravy.
- Thursday: I met my friend at the bakery and walked back. I walked part of the way with her, so my time is not 100% accurate. I am logging it as 33 minutes.
- Friday: I attended a free tennis clinic (group lesson) at the city courts. I had a different teacher, who ran me around the court mercilessly. I won’t count that time as extra, but between that and warming up on an empty court first with another early student, I will say I played for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Total: 93 minutes of walking, 30 minutes of strength training, and 135 minutes of tennis, for a total of 255 minutes of exercise. I met my goal!! I am very happy with this, even if I could barely walk after my tennis lessons.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
