I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I held the first of several “make up” clinics, as I had to cancel my usual office hours to meet a different work requirement. It wasn’t too bad, I guess.
Fabulousness
Our gas was turned back on, and I very much enjoyed a long hot shower this weekend. It was fabulous.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

- Saturday: A work out with my trainer, 30 minutes.
- Sunday: A rest day, though there was plenty of laundry to carry up and down the stairs.
- Monday: A walk to my pick up point, 18 minutes.
- Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 18 minutes.
- Wednesday: No tennis this week, the teacher is away. I had planned to take a walk, but it was rainy and I was tired. I will call this another rest day, though maybe it is really a lazy day.
- Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 18 minutes.
- Friday: I had planned on a walk after work, but the weather was non-cooperative. I was also pretty tired. No exercise (but it did not feel great). To be honest, if I were closer to hitting my exercise goal, I would have found I could have done something.
Total: 54 minutes of walking, and 30 minutes of strength training, for a sad total of 84 minutes. I did not meet my goal this week.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
