Fitness Log #406, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Friday Firsts

I think we may have eaten take out every night this week as Mr. PiN put in super long hours to finish up his project before we take a vacation. This was at first exciting, but got old by the end of the week.

Fabulousness

Window A/C units in the bedroom and office saved me from sweltering heat.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

I was thinking longingly of this type of weather when the air conditioning failed.
  • Saturday:  A work out with my trainer. 30 minutes.
  • Sunday:  It’s hot outside and inside the house. I did a lot of chores, mostly in the room with the window A/C, but no exercise.
  • Monday: Same situation today, no exercise.
  • Tuesday: A walk to take the bus home, I walked one stop further than usual, 23 minutes.
  • Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes.
  • Thursday: A commute home that was a combination of walking and bus, 20 minutes walking.
  • Friday: No exercise today.

Total: 43 minutes of walking, 30 minutes of strength training, and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 133 minutes of exericse. I did not quite meet my goal this week, though it was close.

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
