Fitness Log #312, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 5 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

This week I was on vacation, with a trip to London. So there’s lots of Firsts and Fabulousness, not so much with the exercise numbers.

Friday Firsts

This week’s firsts:

  1. I saw a musical in London. Mr. PiN just walked over and bought last minute tickets to Hamilton our second day there. It was awesome!
  2. I visited the Queen’s House in Greenwich, and enjoyed the building and the art collection.
  3. I also finally got to the National Gallery, which I was thrilled to visit. Yes, we are museum hounds.
A painting in a gilt frame. The picture shows a number of animals on a short sandy shore with hills and trees. Animals include seals, kangaroos and emus.
I took this photo in honor of Frogdancer Jones, who posts lovely art pieces on her site when she travels. And who visited Kangaroo Island earlier this year.

Fabulousness

We went to London!

I saw a lot of tourist sites I hadn’t seen for over two decades, and some attractions I had missed in the past.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

I have no idea. However, I spent a number of days doing a lot of walking, until my feet were sore (and maybe my hips, too). I suspect I walked at least 1 hour per day.

I will say that I met my goal this week.

I hope you had an excellent week as well, full of adventure and fitness (though maybe not the sore feet).
