Fitness Log #336

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 6 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

However, I seem to have forgotten to take notes on the firsts and fabulous events of the week, so it’s just the fitness log today.

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

The daffodils are still going strong, though I suspect not for much longer.
  • Saturday:  This was a day spent both at my meeting, and traveling. Undoubtedly I did some walking at the convention center, and in the airports, but I have nothing measured.
  • Sunday:  We arrived home very early today, and didn’t do any exercise once we got up. Unless you count laundry.
  • Monday: Back to work means walking to my pick up point afterwards. 17 minutes.
  • Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
  • Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
  • Friday: A super long work day, no exercise completed.

Total: 51 minutes of walking, and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 111 minutes this week. I did not meet my weekly goal–and really felt it. I felt much better last week with plenty of walking (except maybe for Monday, when I developed my foot blister).

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
