Fitness Log #360, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Friday Firsts

I had my first visit to a local bagel place. Yummy!

Fabulousness

I enjoyed some catered food for dinner at home twice. I was very happy to see Mr. PiN free of cooking (and basically of cleaning the kitchen) for a bit.

I also had 2 days off in the middle of the week: fabulous!

Sadly, I was not this relaxed on my day off.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

  • Saturday:  I got a ride to the bakery, and took a meandering path home, including dropping off books at the library and checking out the ice cream parlor nearer my friend’s home. 41 minutes walking (snacking and errand time not included).
  • Sunday:  This was a day at home, not doing much of anything except a few chores. No real exercise.
  • Monday: My trainer rescheduled with me for today, I worked out for 30 minutes.
  • Tuesday: No work today. After some chores (so.much.laundry), I took a 20 minute walk in the neighborhood.
  • Wednesday: It was a dark and rainy day. I finally got out for a walk in the evening between rain showers. 29 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
  • Friday: A walk after work (given a lift to the top of the hill and meandered my way home), 24 minutes.

Total: 131 minutes of walking and 30 minutes of strength training, for a total of 161 minutes. I made my goal!

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own. This does not need to be food-related (despite my clear obsession with food this week), though it certainly could be.
