I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
See the fabulousness below.
Fabulousness
I traveled to California to attend the first of 2 conferences, which was fabulous.
As it turned out, I was in San Diego the day the Artemis II splashed down on its return from space. I did not see it, but I had a lot of fun watching for it with a ton of other people.

Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?
- Saturday: A workout with my trainer, 30 minutes.
- Sunday: I am still beat after last week, this was a rest day. Instead of walking, I visited a friend at her home ~in person~ for a few hours.
- Monday: I got dropped off at the library and walked home, depositing 2 books in a Little Free Library, 24 minutes.
- Tuesday: Today was a stressful day at work, trying to wrap things up before going away. I ended up forgoing a walk in order to work later, and got a ride home.
- Wednesday: A day spent going through various airports. I probably got a good amount of walking in but have no way of measuring it.
- Thursday: A tourism morning before my conference starts. Mr. PiN and I wandered (slowly) for several hours. It was probably more like 2 hours of walking and dawdling, I will call it about 1 hour of walking as far as counting exercise.
- Friday: I was able to attend a very early morning yoga session put on by the conference, 30 minutes.
Total: 84 minutes of walking (estimated), 30 minutes of strength training, and 30 minutes of yoga, for a total of 144 minutes of exercise. I maybe didn’t meet my goal. But maybe I did, I wasn’t measuring very well.
Monthly Round Up
- Exercise goals (150 minutes per week; but only 90 minutes when working on the hospital wards): Met in 2/4 weeks, but possibly 3 weeks (see above).
- Clutter goals: 2 books disposed of in the Little Free Library.
- Local Adventures. I attended a book launch, though that wasn’t all that adventuresome.
- Social activity (one in-person activity per month and/or attending services). I visited my friend twice.
I hope you have had a good week as well. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
