Fitness Log #398, Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Friday Firsts

I had my first outdoor tennis lesson of the year. The weather was great, so it was also fabulous (if tough).

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

Did I succeed, or am I anticipating the fireworks tomorrow?
  • Saturday:  A workout with my trainer. 30 minutes.
  • Sunday:  A lazy day (I did do a lot of tidying, though). No exercise measured.
  • Monday: I had to work today, and Mr. PiN picked me up around the corner from my usual spot: 16 minutes. I thought I would go for another walk, but work-from-home kept me too busy. I did pull weeds and spread mulch for about 40 minutes, though.
  • Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 18 minutes.
  • Wednesday: A tennis lesson, 60 minutes. In the afternoon, I invited myself to my retired friend’s porch for a chat, and then walked home. 35 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 18 minutes.
  • Friday: I was quite sore Thursday, and decided to take a rest day.

Total: 87 minutes of walking, 30 minutes of strength training, and 60 minutes of tennis, for a total of 177 minutes of exercise. Not counting the gardening work.

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
