Fitness Log #359, And Friday Firsts And Fabulousness

I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for nearly 7 years, and plan to continue doing so.

Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.

Friday Firsts

I visited a new coffee shop with my retired friend.

Fabulousness

I forgot to note anything special this week, though spending time with my friend was nice.

Fitness Log

The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.

How did I do?

A classically dressed woman sitting, reading a book.
She looks like she could use a coffee date with a friend.
  • Saturday:  My trainer had to reschedule to Monday. I met my friend for coffee and walked home from her house. 35 minutes.
  • Sunday:  A late afternoon stroll in the neighborhood, 20 minutes .
  • Monday: My strength training session, 30 minutes. Based on my work out, I don’t think I can play tennis this week. Blech.
  • Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes.
  • Wednesday: After catching a ride to the bakery, I walked back home. 34 minutes.
  • Thursday: A walk to my pick up point, 17 minutes. I think I’ve made my goal! So anything I do tomorrow is a bonus.
  • Friday: I was very stiff after sitting all day at the computer for work, and walked afterwards 20 minutes.

Total: 143 minutes of walking and 30 of strength training, for a total of 173 minutes. I met my goal!

I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
