I have been keeping track of my exercise every Friday for 8 years, and plan to continue doing so.
Since the pandemic started, I have been keeping track of “firsts,” and more lately, I have been trying to note good things (“fabulousness”). It’s a good way to pay attention and not let life slide by.
Friday Firsts
I gave a “Grand Rounds” talk. It wasn’t as grand an audience as the title might suggest, but still it was a big deal to me.
Fabulousness
I apparently didn’t entirely bomb my talk. That’s enough fabulousness for me.
Fitness Log
The goal is to get 150 minutes of moderate exercise, of which (ideally) 60 minutes should build strength (yoga counts); if I am working in the hospital, my goal is just 90 minutes, which is a more realistic stretch during those busy days.
How did I do?

- Saturday: No exercise today.
- Sunday: Nor today.
- Monday: I had Mr. PiN drop me off to run some errands, and then I walked home, 27 minutes.
- Tuesday: A walk to my pick up point, but Mr. PiN picked me up a little closer. 16 minutes.
- Wednesday: I had to miss my tennis lesson for a work thing. After work, I took a walk to my pick up point, and then the traffic was so bad I got a little closer. 22 minutes.
- Thursday: A walk to my usual pick up point, 18 minutes.
- Friday: A super lazy day, I didn’t have the oomph to do anything.
Total: 83 minutes of walking, and nothing else. I definitely did not meet my exercise goals this week.
I hope you have had a good week. Feel free to share any fabulous news of your own.
