I read many blog posts each day. They mostly focus on personal finance, but also on minimalism and travel . Here are some of my favorite posts I read in March.
Match Day happens in March, and (the majority of) medical students find out where they will be doing residency for the next 3 to 7 years. They will learn a lot of medicine, but they will also be learning plenty of other lessons. I particularly liked this post from the Prudent Plastic Surgeon about the hidden curriculum, in 7 Hidden Lessons Medical School Never Teaches Doctors.
A lesson The White Coat Investor would like to make an explicit part of the curriculum is the importance of saving for retirement. He tells it like it is in How to Get More Money in Your Retirement Accounts.
Blue Lobster over at Millionaire on the Prairie seems to have put enough money away in her retirement accounts, since she has retired. As announced in her post: Good Riddance to the Sunday Scaries! Congratulations on quite an achievement.

My best friend, who passed away last summer, used to keep me up to date on computers and internet security. Without her, I just don’t get the same lectures and education. I was interested in 2 posts from Mike Piper at Oblivious Investor, the first on authenticator apps, and the second on passkeys. This sort of stuff is more and more vital, as we move from office visits with brokers and bankers to online-only accounts.
WordPress is a funny place, and when I take the time to look around, I never know what I might find. Including this post from November from The Wandering Ambivert: When Silence Feels Too Loud.
When Mr. PiN and I first started looking at electric vehicles, there was lots of worry about battery life. We were looking forward to skipping the lines at the gas stations, but worried about having to replace an expensive battery every few years. Our car battery holds less charge than it did 9 years ago, but still works well for around-town travel. I feel vindicated by this article from NPR: How long do electric vehicle batteries actually last?
